Trusting Strangers

Uber, Lyft, VRBO, oh my…. we are getting into cars with strangers, sleeping in the beds of people we have never met, and lending money to others on the other side of the globe.  At first glance, many observers marvel at the technology that drives this powerful, emerging trust economy. But Rotarians have done these things for years.

The more surprising part of this economy is the ways that the participants are creating trust among themselves.  They are transforming the social glue of society in ways and on a scale never possible before.  Our close-knit communities are no longer bound to a geographic area. Imagine the opportunities.

As you watch this presentation, you are invited to renew a sense of community, engender more collaboration, spark new thinking in order to tap into a need that transcends boundaries is built on trust.
